This workshop intends to relate ethnographic material on Amerindian Shamanism with early mediaeval Shakta Tantra, and to explore the common points (rather than the differences) on the level of ritual practice and world-configuration to rethink the potential of such traditions in the light of the “integral humanism” proposed by Alain Daniélou, where many of these elements are present.
