This workshop aims at opening a space for discussion on field work and research experiences on world-configurations belonging to Non-Western cultures (in South America, South Asia, and West Africa), their way of socializing with other-than-human beings (plants, animals, spirits), as well as their social cohesion and institutional practices, in order to re-consider the “universal values” of European modernity in the face of our today’s global crisis.
