Alain Daniélou Foundation, in collaboration with Associazione Gamaka will organise a Masterclass in Classical Indian Kuchipudi Dance, conducted by the dancer/choreographer Shantala Shivalingappa. The masterclass will be held in the suggestive venue of Palazzo Rospigliosi in Zagarolo (RM).
The Masterclass consists in a three-day period of intensive study for expert and less-expert dancers. The programme will focus on the Kuchipudi dance repertoire and will also include a parallel comparative study of Kuchipudi dance and contemporary dance-theatre. The programme will be developed through the study of choreographies from Shantala’s repertoire (both contemporary and Kuchipudi), and the in-depth practice of some complimentary disciplines (yoga, martial arts).
On successful completion of the masterclass, participants will receive a certificate of participation.
